Happy November
We had a special occasion at our home yesterday. Our youngest was confirmed at Ascension Lutheran Church. It was a lovely day, with family joining us. We were on time for the service, since we forgot to set the alarm clock ahead the night before. So I was up before 5am making bread. It turned out fine, even though it was mighty early in the day. Also made a ham with cranberry glaze that was delish!
Have to share this oddity with you. I can't imagine how an apple can fall from a tree here in windy South Dakota and land on a 2x4 and stay there long enough to be lunch for the birds. (This is the top of a play fort)

Wonderful picture of family. Thanks for sharing. That apple is amazing! We just watched South Dakota Life yesterday, and it was on the art festival in Brookings! Do you go? How big is Brookings? We spend summers on the other side of the state, in Lemmon, SD, 25 miles from Dakota Cabin Quilts in Hettinger, ND.
